There are very few opportunities for people with no previous yacht racing experience, so at Sailing Logic we have the perfect solution – our weekend Intro to Racing course.
Saturday is a training day where you will develop your teamwork with a focus on upwind sailing and using spinnakers downwind. Throughout the day you will be learning about sail trim, manoeuvres and working as a team.
Sunday is race day, put the training into practice as you compete in a local club race. This day is not all about racing though as you will continue to be instructed and learn more about yacht racing. Our crews are always amazed at how much they can achieve in one weekend and regularly get in off the water and book straight up for the next syllabus.
This is an ideal way to get a taste of inshore racing and learn new skills. You will experience the excitement of close racing under the watchful eye of our experienced race skipper and first mate.
If you have never been on a boat before, we recommend that you start with an RYA Competent Crew course to familiarise yourself with the basics of sailing and then join this fantastic racing course
