The RORC Caribbean 600 is the only offshore race of the Caribbean series, and takes you on a fantastic journey, circumnavigating the Caribbean Islands.
Established in 2008, this race has already become a firm favourite, with many well known and glamorous sailing yachts competing – creating an awe-inspiring start-line scene.
Starting from and finishing in Antigua, the route zig-zags around 11 Caribbean Islands including Nevis, St Kitts, Saba and St Barth’s before looping around St Maarten and heading south around Guadeloupe and its notorious wind-shadow.
The total route is 605nM and the figure-of-8 loop creates eleven legs, keeping it interesting for crew and navigators alike.
With tropical islands, sunshine and shorts, warm seas and steady trade winds, the Caribbean is an offshore racing paradise. With tactical gains to be made from both winds and currents and the annual dilemma of how to tackle the wind shadow off Guadeloupe, there is plenty of excitement throughout the race.
Don’t be fooled into thinking that it is an easy race however, you’ll be competing against some of the world’s top sailors.
Of course you will be staying aboard your yacht whilst you race however, there is no accommodation aboard throughout the training and after the race. We will assist you if you struggle to find a suitable solution.
