Jaguar Logic Clinch a 2nd Place in the Spring Series

After an exciting race on Sunday, which saw Jaguar Logic lead the fleet for much of the race Jaguar Logic’s team were ecstatic to take a well earned 2nd place in the 3rd race of the Wasash Spring Series.

Tim Thuborn and his team had an excellent start and by the windward mark they had an impressive lead. With superb boat speed Great Scot and Portia gradually pulled back some of the lead and on the final kite drop a timing issue resulted in a kite drop going wrong. Sadly this saw Jaguar loosing about two minutes and cost them a race win.

Visit Malta Puma were pushed over the line at the start and had to return to the start area, they started five minutes late! The team pulled together and sailed a flawless race to overhaul fifteen boats and close over two minutes on the race leader.

This was an impressive display of determination from the team aboard Visit Malta Puma. Their boat speed was awesome and the team was absolutely delighted with a fourth place!

At the half way stage Visit Malta Puma and Jaguar Logic are lying 2nd and 3rd respectively in the series. An impressive start to the season! Both teams will be keen to overhaul Portia in the second half of the series. Portia has set the benchmark with an impressive three wins to date!

There is only one point separating Visit Malta Puma and Jaguar so we suspect the competition will be fierce as Tim Thubron battles to retain his Spring Series title!
